RV dealer website speed test
See how your RV dealership website feels to a shopper on a phone, in about 30 seconds.
Uses Google's PageSpeed tests. Takes about 30 seconds. No signup.
RV shoppers rarely sit at a desk to browse. They scroll floor plans on the couch after dinner, compare towables in a campground with one bar of signal, and pull up your used inventory in the truck at the storage lot. Your website gets judged on whatever phone and connection they have at that moment.
This free test loads your homepage the way Google does: once on a simulated mid-range phone over a slowed mobile network, and once on a desktop. Where Google has enough visits from real Chrome users, we also show how your site performed for actual visitors over the last 28 days.
How RV shoppers use your website
An RV is a big, considered purchase, so shoppers come back again and again. They flip through dozens of exterior photos, tap into floor plans, zoom in on the kitchen, and check sleeping capacity before they ever call. Every one of those taps is a chance for a slow page to send them back to a marketplace listing instead.
Photo-heavy listing pages, video walkthroughs and payment calculators all add weight. None of that is wrong, but each piece has to load on a phone that may be at a lake, a trailhead or a full-hookup site at the edge of town.
What usually slows RV dealer sites down
Large hero photos that are not resized for phones, inventory widgets that load all at once, chat and trade-in tools that each bring their own code, and tracking tags that pile up over the years. The report names the outside companies that load code on your homepage and how long each one kept the phone busy.
What you get
A letter grade from Google's own speed score for phone and desktop, a second-by-second filmstrip of what a shopper saw, your page weight, the heaviest outside scripts, and the top three fixes in plain English. Every number comes from Google PageSpeed Insights or the Chrome UX Report.
Questions
Why test on a phone instead of my office computer?
Your office computer and Wi-Fi are much faster than a typical phone on mobile data. Google tests with a simulated mid-range phone and a slowed network because that is closer to how many RV shoppers actually browse.
Does my inventory provider control my speed?
Partly. The platform sets the starting point, but photos, plugins, chat tools and tracking tags added over time make a big difference. The report shows which outside scripts weigh the most on your homepage.
Why is my score different each time I test?
Lab tests vary by a few points from run to run because of network and server conditions. Real-visitor data, when Google has it, is a 28-day average and changes slowly.
Is the test really free?
Yes. No signup is needed. You get a private link to your report that you can share with your website provider or marketing team.
